About Bright Future Organization

Bright Future is a women-led NGO based in Duhok dedicated to empowering women and families of individuals with disabilities. We offer vocational training, promote mental health, and raise awareness about human rights. Our mission is to build an inclusive community where every person, regardless of ability or gender, can thrive with dignity and opportunity.

Our long-term vision is to build a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for people with autism and disabilities and their mothers. We are also committed to supporting women in need through sustainable development programs. Whether through psychological support, skill-building, or advocacy, we aim to provide long-lasting change in the lives of marginalized individuals and their families.

Meet Our Founder

Shaima Hussein Mustafa is a psychologist, activist, and mother to a child with autism. She founded Bright Future Organization to fight for the rights of women and people with disabilities, and to fill the gap in services and empowerment programs within Duhok. Her work is driven by both professional expertise and lived experience.

Our Team

Shaima Hussein Mustafa – Founder and Director of Bright Future. Shaima is a psychologist, activist, and mother to a child with autism. She leads the organization with both professional expertise and personal passion, creating a space for change, inclusion, and empowerment.

Rondik Mousa Ismael – Co-founder and licensed dentist. Rondik has a strong commitment to humanitarian work and supported displaced families in Duhok as a UNHCR Shelter Assistant. She brings deep empathy, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose to the organization.

Narmin Hussein Mustafa – Co-founder with a background in Computer Science. Narmin is passionate about helping those in need and has worked with NGOs to support vulnerable communities. Her dedication and technical skills strengthen the mission of Bright Future.

Project Proposal (Pending Approval)

We have submitted a proposal for a 6-month empowerment project supporting 60 women — including women with disabilities and mothers of children with disabilities. The project includes:

This initiative is expected to directly support over 60 women and indirectly benefit over 700 individuals across Duhok.
